Digital Workflow

Florida Restaurant & Lodging is produced using a digital workflow exclusively. Electronic files, fonts and graphics should be sent to publisher accompanied by a high resolution color proof. We do not guarantee color results if proof does not accompany files. Color separated film negatives are accepted only under special circumstances, but are not recommended. A $150 scan fee per page is charged to ads supplied in negative form and no copy changes or alterations are permitted.

Electronic Formats Accepted

Most common electronic file formats are supported, including: InDesign CS*, Quark 4.0, PageMaker, Illustrator* and Photoshop*. Microsoft Word and Publisher Files are not accepted. High resolution PDFs (portable document format) are only accepted if production follows exact printer specifications. Ask for details. (*Version CS and lower)

Production Charges

All work done by us will be billed to advertiser directly. Rates available upon request.

Proofs

Proofs are submitted only on request and only when copy is received 10 days in advance of deadline. Corrections to proofs cannot be guaranteed when received after deadline.

Fonts

All fonts used in the Advertisement must also be included. However, as an option, It is recommended that Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign file(s) or artwork have all fonts "Saved as Outline" before collecting files for submission to us. This removes the necessity to include fonts when providing the digital files to us.

Acceptable Media

Files may be furnished on CD-Rom or via email attachment according to Digital Workflow specifications. Files may also be sent to us via our FTP server (see FTP Instructions below).

Emailing Files and Supplying Proofs

Ads prepared electronically may also be emailed to john@rapido.com (max. 3 megs, please). Files must also be compressed using Stuffit (MAC) or PKZip (PC) prior to emailing. Emailed artwork must still be accompanied by a hard copy color proof. If materials are not accompanied by proper proofs, a proof will be made by our production department and charged to the advertiser.

FTP Instructions

Files may be sent to us via our FTP server using any standard FTP application (ie: Fetch, WSFTP). Internet Explorer may also be used (PC users) so long as "Passive FTP" is turned OFF in the Internet Options settings (Advance Tab).Logon to ftp://ftp.rapido.com (User: frp, Pass: matrosity123).It is recommended that you compress your files first. Then drag-and-drop your file(s) into the directory.Once file(s) are posted, please email us at john@rapido.com as we do not receive notification when files are posted.We will review your files and advise if any additional items are needed.

Artwork Return

Artwork and Materials will not be returned unless: 1) accompanied by self-addressed and pre-paid packaging, and 2) advertiser's account is in a current paid status.
