Beacon South Beach Hotel Achieves Certified Guest Service Property Status

The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) has awarded the Beacon South Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida, with the prestigious Certified Guest Service Property designation.

Guest Service Gold, a guest service training program from EI, trains employees and properties how to achieve a new standard of exceptional service based on the philosophy of emotionally engaging with guests in memorable and exceptional ways.

There are three main components to Guest Service Gold: training, employee certification, and property certification. In order for the Beacon Hotel to be designated a Certified Guest Service Property, every employee was required to complete specific training and pass a comprehensive exam.

“Exceptional customer service is a number one priority at the Beacon South Beach Hotel,” said Elvis Taylor, general manager of the Beacon South Beach Hotel. “While we are always looking to improve benefits and amenities for our guests, we are also working to ensure they receive outstanding service on property. EI’s Guest Service Gold certification is just one more way we demonstrate our commitment to our guests.”

Twenty-eight team members at the Beacon South Beach Hotel received the Certified Guest Service Professional designation at the completion of their training and the hotel was presented with a plaque denoting its achievement. The property celebrated its achievement with an award ceremony at the property that included a cake and refreshments.

The Shores Resort & Spa Remains as the Only AAA Four-Diamond Oceanfront Property in Central Florida

The Shores Resort & Spa was, once again, presented the Four-Diamond Status from AAA.  The recognition was presented to resort General Manager David Rijos by AAA Area Manager Treena Streeter.  The Shores Resort & Spa has held this status since the property reopened in 2005, after its hurricane reconstruction.

Florida's Paradise Coast Lands Five Resorts on Condé Nast Traveler's Annual Best in the World List of Top 150 U.S. Mainland Resorts

Florida’s Paradise Coast region that includes Naples, Marco Island and the Gulf Coast portion of the Everglades earned five spots on the annual “Best In the World” list of Top 150 U.S. Mainland Resorts compiled by luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, with four resorts in the top fifty. La Playa Beach & Golf Resort in Naples ranked the highest on the Top 150 list at twelfth. The Ritz-Carlton, Naples ranked 30th, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples ranked 31st, the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort ranked 41st and the Marco Beach Ocean Resort ranked 130th

“The Paradise Coast’s resorts and hotels have for years set high standards for customer service satisfaction, which is reflected in this year’s showing of five properties in our region on Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 150 U.S. Mainland Resorts list,” said Jack Wert, executive director for the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB.

Nickelodeon Suites Resort Achieves Certified Guest Service Property Designation

Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando was recognized this month by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) as the first hotel in the world to receive the prestigious Certified Guest Service Property designation.

In order for the Nick Hotel to be designated a Certified Guest Service Property, every employee was required to complete specific training and pass a comprehensive exam.
